Last night was PHENOMENAL. Yup. It was that good. After work I hopped my little booty on the Subway and met Amy at the PATH to go over yonder to her apartment for a night of fun and meeting little Miss Ellie! We met Danes on the other side and Kman and Matt met us back at the Apt so that they could play video games while we ladies drank some vino and cooked up the wazoo. It was everything that I wanted and more!
Right when we got to the Jerz we had a little Smoogle sesh (yes, that is a combo of snuggle and smooch- courtesy of Mz. Amy) with Ellie

and then we got down to business making a scrumptious meal. By “we” I obviously mean that Amy made a scrumptious meal, and I made dessert! The meal that Amy made was out of this world. A chicken dish that involved goat cheese, turkey bacon, and basil (she has a plant!) and huge sweet potato that was to die for with a little bit of cinnamon and salt on it. The sweet and salty combo was obviously a hit. She also made sauteed Kale! I had never eaten Kale before and I think I can officially say that I am a fan. Of course, Amy did make it in a delicious garlic sautee and warned me that its not exactly a nibble-on-in-your-free-time-kinda-food. Welp, sauteeing I shall do, I love learning about, and liking, new veggies.

While she did this I whipped up a quick batch of my Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies! KMAN is a big fan and Amy told me last night that they are her favorite thing that I have made! She is amaz and had all the ingredients ready for me to make so we could all share a delish dessert after such an great meal.

I think that good food and good friends is about all you need in the world. But then again, food is my jam I cannot wait to go back to JERZ and eat all of Amy’s amazing cooking and play with the bootiful kitties. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures of you Penny- I love you just the same!! Promise.
